Hamilton on Saturday, May 4 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at Hamilton Central School, 47 W. Kendrick Ave., Hamilton

Oneida on Sunday, May 19 from 11:00am- 1:00 pm at the Costello Transportation Center (BOCES bus garage), 1136 Freedom Drive, Oneida

You may be eligible to receive a bike:

Community Bikes provides free bikes to those who would love to have a bike- to get to school, church or work, for exercise, for transportation or just for fun- but for whom buying one would be a hardship.

Eligibility:

  Bikes are available to children and adults of all ages and sizes who don't already have a bike, and who are…

  • Residents of Madison County

  • Eligible for Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, SSD or other cash assistance, or have other demonstrated need or special circumstances.

Bike Day:

     Each year, we host two Bike Days, in Oneida and in Hamilton. Bike recipients must be pre-registered, and must be present to receive a bike.  A Community Bikes volunteer fits each recipient with a bike well suited to meet his or her needs and abilities, and with a helmet and lock.

Community Bikes will host two Bike Days this spring: in Hamilton on Saturday, May 4 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at Hamilton Central School on W. Kendrick Ave. and In Oneida on Sunday, May 19 from 11:00am- 1:00 pm at the Madison-Oneida Costello Transportation Center on Freedom Drive., and We also place bikes throughout the year, by appointment, at our workshop at 40 Milford Street in Hamilton.

How to Apply:

     It’s easy. Simply complete and return the attached application (one for each recipient or family member). We will then review each application, and we will contact you to confirm your eligibility and register you to receive a bike.
